today is first day of work... i cant believe i m working already. Like wat my sis say, 'eh, u r WORKING already leh. i cant believe it.' scary. i m scared too. so fast.

today is orientation, quite relaxed.. but as we go along, we r actuallly being loaded with lots of future work!! its quite a handful.. pray hard i'll survive.

back from KL tonite.. i m so tired... coz i m sick.. flu-ish. scully is 'that' flu.. sluggish the whole of todae.. went Genting also not a lot of mood to emjoy.. had a headache most of e day todae. felt as though my brain got detached and knocked onto my skull whenever i walked.. tangling tangling..

hc hosted us for these 3 days. reallin grateful to her n family.. esp her dad. bring us ard for good food, good shopping and drove us ard almost everywhere and anytime. had veri good penang laska, wonton noodles, chicken rice balls, chendol and bak kut teh.. i escaped getting fat in taiwan.. but my downfall in M'sia instead. haha. constantly baobao..

shopping is GOOD too!!! the power of Sing dollar in M'sia.. Same price as Singapore jus that prices stated there r n RM.. shuang. brought a lot of work clothes.. Veri affordable prices.. N dear sponsored me a pair of shoes.. hee coz he liked it too. haha. k ki noe i jus got 5 pairs frm taiwan.. hmm... i m guilty as charge.. cant explain for my actions...

hee. enough of fun. work starting next week lo.... boo hoo boo~~~~~~~~

came home from taiwan, forgot to collate my shoppings to take photo. did that yest instead. i did my best to round up all the things i bought. not a lot ma.. My conclusion: i din buy THAT much rite?? haha. i bought more foodstuff than its shown here.. coz some kena eaten liao. haha

worked for wyeth for today n tml. looking forward, next tue go KL :)

i m missing taiwan.. the weather is so good, so cooling unlike here.. the people r so nice n polite n helpful...

just finish collating my travel diary of my taiwan trip. picked up this habit from the YEP expedition i went in '07. nice to write down tots n sentiments of daily happenings so that some time later when the memories of taiwan is no longer in my short-term memory, i can still refresh it whenever i feel like it..

this trip was VERY eventful. guess its the most memorable trip for most of us in the team. the first few days was tough, many unexpected stuff occured n 'bad' luck followed... some of us couldnt believe it, some of us jus LAUGHED it off.. i guess all our laughing helped, as some bad luck turned out to be blessings in disguise..

One regret is that adeline cant join us in the end after so much time, effort n $$.. sigh...

10 day Taiwan Trip!!!!
Day 1
From Taoyuan Airport, take train to hualien.. Check-in C'est Jeune Hotel.. a very affordable and small hotel.. service is personal n veri friendly. Its a art-like hotel. its small lobby has a small display of artworks. cartoon characters. bfast there is good too!

Day 2
Bad luck starts. just 2 day before, wl confirmed w our tour guide of our booking. Early morning 9am, we called her, she says she forgot n is nt free... HUH??!!!
Lucky she is responsible enough to ask another 2 tour guides to stand in for her.
started our day late. but our first blessing came about. The 2 guy tour guides were veri nice n all of us liked their approach. Compared to the female tour guide who took over us at night (she was veri bo chap)

Went to Taroko Gorge, cleared limited places due to time. But believed tt we've seen some of the best. All of us loved 水莲洞. Imagine a dark cave (need torch n poncho), natural mountain water falling frm above. natural wild wild wet. experienced tt wonderful place after clearing 7 tunnels and walked v far.. worth it :)

After trying to contact adeline for v long n failed to do so, at last she contacted us. We were outside a tunnel, if we walked in, there will b no more reception. so we stayed outside, hoping ade can quickly contact us and we can help her solve her problem. Reception was v weak. Imagine trying to get reception outside a tunnel, out in nature, on a mountain, a steep cliff beside. Haha, was realli an exp. :) Lucky the 2 tour guides were v helpful, without asking, they helped us make long-dist calls using their hp that surprisingly were the onli ones w 1 bar reception.
At last prob solved. *HAPPY*

evening, it began raining. had to skip some places. a bit disappointed but cant b helped. Tour guides brought us to the fish port for sashimi instead. It was v good!!! fresh n cheap.

too bad we didnt get to play w fireworks there.. was a miscommunication. haiz.
tried the recommended food there. some were nt bad some were so-so.

Day 3
Left Hualien. Rmb the 2 nice tour guides and we were very keen to take on their service again when we reach taiepi. Head for Chiayi, to go Alishan first.

Day 3-5
At Alishan. a place near heaven.. Veri cooling. natural aircon whole day round. we had a tea plantation at our doorstep.. whole house was ours. 2-storey. stayed at small swiss homestay. Charlies was a great guy.

Day 5-11
Back to Taipei. tried almost all big nght markets. Tonghua which is jus 5 mins frm our place. Raohe and Shilin. tried a lot of good food. Shopped a lot. changed $$ in taiwan too.. on the last day left w onli NT13 (~S60cents), hav to depend on yj to yang wo..

explored out of taipei. engaged the help of the 2 wonderful guides again (Mr Yao ZhengCheng and Mr He RenJie). by then, they were alreadi conveniently known by us as Mr Lame n Mr Nice respectively. Ultimate fun combi. with transport, we proceed w our initally planned places like chiufen, shih-fen, danshui, yeliu, keelung, jinguashi with much ease. They even bought us to places of greater fun.. Went Yingge to learn n make pottery.. (our masterpieces will b here end on June, waiting....) Sounds like we did a lot. it was all in 2 days... anyone interested in engaging their services can sms me. haha. i hav their contacts.. coz they jus started the services themselves so need a lot of recommendations, all of us 9 felt that they were sincere n fun, n veri affordable too.. they went the extra mile for us, n we were v grateful for it.


the rest of the times, we were out on our own exploring taipei city. went to 我猜 recording.. damn exciting n fun. nearly couldnt get in, lucky can still sit front row.. Jacky wu still gave us try the pies made by the contestant for 人不可貌相 :) nice!!!

2 more days!!! i m waiting, waiting. did most of the packing tdy. quite happy w the result. hope i haven forgot any impt stuff.

as i wait for my hols w much anticipation n excitement, i jus realised through the blog that a friend at far is encountering some prob. this friend haven replied my last email since quite long ago which is unlikely gg by the usual freq. Now i m worried. its something big. yet i cant help. and there are no news from this friend. yet i m here waiting to go off for my hols. Hey friend, quick reply me.. I m waiting too!! cheer up k!

went mapuku @ Tampines One for lunch todae. Food is not bad. Mache style. Free-sitting which i quite like. Each section of the dining area has a different theme.. settled at one place but was tempted by another sections, ended up changing place. haha








whole day mj todae.. played 3 rounds since afternoon till 11 plus jus now. so tired.
won quite a bit todae. It's like my first time winning a fair bit? so quite happy. i think my luck is realli not bad todae. happy~ i was shocked by myself quite a few times tdy too. haha. for the 1st round, the other 3 players jus cant believe my luck. haha. now i understand the shuang feeling. :) tired. sleeping soon.. cycling tml...


halfway done w packing..

since after exams, life been good:) hav been enjoying life. sleep late, go out, meeting up with friends, spend decent time with dear, have good food.

I am now excited with my taiwan trip. all gals came to my place yest to finalise the itinerary. Hahah. truthfully, this is my first time being so hands on in planning. I think last yr planning for hk w kat, angie n hx is like a training for me. i was more sideline learning. This time, i m definitely more involved. Enjoy planning. Will certainly play a much more active role in planning in future. :)As i plan, the more i read, the more excited i become. Sense of achievement when everything flows and is nice nice. Muz go through the whole thing to see if it realli works though. haha

over the weekend, met 13yao for dinner to celebrate sou's belated belated bday. went to the korean BBQ place at far east. the side dishes are not free-flow but are available for refill. whatever it means, go figure. haha. I tink the waitress repeated the exact sentence thrice.
went to T3 TCC next, had a good time catching up with all. it was our usual secret-sharing time. FUN!!

Then on sun went to buy luggage w dear. Went to Tam1 foodcourt for lunch first. wanted to try the roast meat from Restoran Selayang. Was on the news coz it is opened by actors terrence cao and another actor (forget his name). It boostes a family recipe. I so wanted to try it. I tried and definitely was not disappointed. Foodcourt price, great satifaction. They have 2 types of chilli. One is the chicken rice kind another is the roast duck chilli paste. Try both. Both are so rich in aroma that u can jus eat it alone w rice. haha i sound so much like a foodie writing a food blog now.. :) but good things muz share.



Also went to orchard. when was the last time i have the time to stop by, absorbed into the drums and vibrancy of performers by the streets. ah, this is life!



went ah ma house at nite to celebrate Mothers' day. i bought a nice cake too!!

yet another long time since last post.

And yeah!!! i finished my exams!!!!!! woohoo~

finished yest and after that i went tampines 1. Haven been there since it opened, so went there yest to open my eyes. bought a pair of lychee martinis coz they are very pretty... haha. typical gal. although i m not a huge fan of pink, these bottles were cute so i got them. :) (just felt like spending $$ after exams)


had lunch at Ma Maison yest with hc, mq n yq. was a treat after exams. :) hee. the photos are the prove of the good food we had. let the photos explain.. ha hc did took the food photos quite well huh. haha







over lunch yest, the idea of gg for a buffet dinner surfaced . And so off we went to a buffet dinner tonight. went to Crown Price Hotel at Terminal 3, Airport. AZURE. sad yq n mindy cant join us. yq, u missed out A LOT TONIGHT!! next time muz come w us k!! A very good offer, by the use of UOB or CITIBANK card, its one-for-one. International buffet. Got lots of variety. its realli good. I think each of us ate like 15-20 prawns (fresh + drunken prawns at least) esp mq. haha. it was realli veri fresh. the prawns were sweet so were the scallops. Its not easy to get sweet scallops la. i think, our table ate a lot of seafood. a bit kua zhang tonight but it was realli worth it. The food n dessets were fantastic. Pre-booking is needed. service a bit slow but if u manage to get their attention, its nt that bad.





went ttsh to sign contract this morning. i m almost a staff there liao. exciting. Working with a few good friends also. Hope life will be enriching and at the same time fun.. :) look forward :)

but first taiwan, here i come.. :)

haha long time since i last blogged. yet again. guilty as charged.

tonight went dinner with ac kids club plus ac, vivianne n ky.

i jus reach home, jus bathe. surprising
a dinner which jus 6hrs ago, most of us were dreading to attend and hoping to eat, spend as much as possible then leave. good bye good day. till we meet again.

surprising. we chatted and stayed till late. over dinner, some interesting conversations did arise and the atmosphere was better than expected. thanks to ky. saw a different side of him today. more human-like.

went mache@vivo. first time had the chance to try almost everything. we jus took everything. my table had rostti, cheese, chicken, garlic pork saugages, calamari, 1/2 pork knunkle, smoken salmon w roast chicken crepe, pizza, mixed mushrooms w potatoes. and that was our main course onli. 4 gals. haha. trying to help him spent coz we figured prob he has no place to spend his salary. and we shld reward ourselves after all the hard work..

for desserts we had almost all kinds of cakes they had. one of everything. i counted. we had 10 kinds of bakes + ice creams. omg. fat. now that i type out, the amt we ate was quite scary.. to make it better, mayb it would help to say that the cakes were shared among 8 of us?? haha. chatted a lot tonite. gain a lot of new insights n knowledge also. hmm. but some things still cant pry out of him. so tight-lipped. oh well, but still this dinner realli marks the end of fyp. plus my article has been sent to Journals of Clinical Oncology for review le. hope it gets through n published then everything will end on a good note.

i m just ONE day away from my last day in school. I cant believe it. last day of official school. As in REAL SCHOOL. after so many years, arent i waiting for this day to come? yet, i don feel immense joy or feelings. i guess its mixed n hence nullified. shall go sort out how i shld feel. haha.

tml pharmacy year 4 are gg to end on a high note. we r gg to jog+walk for a fundraising event for pharm. haha wat a way to end the last day of sch. HAHA school life. these things we do that make school life memorable and stories to tell future genrations. isnt it? :)

yest was the poster display. hee i got 2nd placing for my poster for my category. was a tie with cons, hee at least we didnt throw ac's face. but jl still up him.. hahahaha. was veri happy that it has ended. i tink all my comrades will feel the same.










haven felt such freedom in a long time already. have been imagining this day for so long. at last its here. the amt of tears, sweat and frustration over it.

As ac promised, he's gg to bring us all out for a meal. no budget.. haha. date set. place tbc by us!! muhahaa.. hc suggest $100/pax.. evil..but we don mind i guess...

journey of fyp

One MORE DAY!!! yeah! fyp will be finally officially over... tml is our poster presentation.
sun n mon, i went to print poster. went 2 days coz i found some glitches. oh well, lucky i end up print one poster only.. if not veri waste $$. the feeling when seeing my own poster being printed was good. Marks the end of fyp. Quite proud of it although i realli saw many nice nice ones.. i c so many of my classmates there la..i tink that shop jus earn our money jiu happy liao. haha.

tdy when i pinned up my poster, it was another kind of fufilling feeling. i think many of my friends felt the same towards their poster also. Its almost like a crystallisation of the efforts. I like so many posters.. there were like 60 posters and most of them quite pretty..

i like mindy's one the most.. Gal, hee urs i still like the most! :)
tml will be an exiciting day. hopefully, after tml no more fyp.. actually after my presentation on sat, i was on hol mood le. haha. think i din perform as well as i expected for myself but don care liao. it has been so many months since i stone, so many months since i last watch tv few hours at one go, so many months since i last went shopping, n so many months since i don hav that heavy stone in me making me lost all the energy to laugh with all my heart.

the old me is BACK!! like a spell i've been under for months, at last its lifted. i feel alive again. Is this the type of fairy tale in this modern era? anyway, i feel happy. i am happy. I still hav a few tests before my final finals exam coming soon, ya ard that corner again. but i don care. this few days are for recharging!!! yipee~

i feel liberated again! Haha, i tot it will be so hard to wait till this day.. so glad that all the horrid stuff are over for now...

FYP was a learning exp. i would say that the learning curve was quite steep. for blur ppl like me, who like to add extra stones ahead of myself, so that i can trip upon later, life was harder. but realli, i tink all of us hav matured over this 9 months.. the bond we forged over ac fyp kids' club is something to be treasured.

This is the week..

if i survived this week well, i think i have attained another level..

i dreamt of my prof again last nite. Dreamt had he sent me an email saying that my poster got prob... oh man... when will this end.. he cant even let me hav a good, peaceful sleep...

recently, i've been very tired. physically and mentally. last nite i went to bed at 11.15. mum even suggested that maybe i shld go do a blood test to see whats wrong. hmm, no need la ah. needles = pain.

Trust a pharmacist to say that. tsktsk..

cant believe i'm gg to be a pharmacist soon. How many lifes will be in my hands that i hav to protect. woohoo.. glad that i'm becoming one. Will do good for the society. i promise. :)

When one becomes too busy with everything, everything seems to glazed past. Nothing seems important. I hate it tat i am taking IMPORTANT THINGS so UNIMPORTANTLY.

I wan to stop and take check. I cant. I know i hav been missing out a lot of life. I wan to laugh like before again, i cant. I wan to find back wats important to me. My life, my friends, my cup of Starbucks coffee, but i cant. I cant even rmb the time i last sat down for coffee with a small grp of friends discussing life. i don even hav time to catch a breath and the wind just forcefully push me forward.

somethings i noe after its missed, you cant get it back. The feeling is no longer there. i know. Women's sixth sense is not there for without a purpose.

when i wan to lament, i dunno who to go to. Everyone has their own set of frustration which i don wish to add on. I can imagine myself lament.. things are so gross that i actually don feel like mentioning.. but u noe, when you don say, it jus keep gnawing ur insides..

I think my blog has become too pessimistic to read. If it is, read my older posts instead, i think they may b happier.

actually, i think my table of friends all hav this kind of feeling which has escalated this semester.. i wonder whether anyone wrote bout it? Did anyone talked about it?

In my 4 yrs of tertiary education, today is the last prac of the entire course.. made pellet coating today... veri fun, jus like home econs and arts where we mix our own colour to coat our pellets and pack into capsules.

Probably the last prac in my life, friends n i forget to take a proper picture. should hav. wasted. lucky last time got take a few.. haha. fun pracs i had in this 4 yrs.. got usual titration, also got more specialised ones like tdy's tab coating and dosage form prep...

hmm actually i still hav med counseling coming up x 4 weeks. done in lab also but its not hand-on get dirty kind. hmm.. that is the challenging part..

2 more weeks... its all gonna be over!!!!!! April april quick come come!!

Brief update

1) I have handed in my final thesis

2) By the 1st April, everything to do with FYP will be settled (hopefully). thats the official date. but there may be unofficial stuff...

3) I am gg TAIWAN!!! Booked tickets. Going w 9 other friends. Free n Easy

4) Planning is not easy... but fun! :)

5) I got my job!!! actually it was quite some time le.. just din manage to spread the news.. to all who is graduating and haven gotten a job, jiayou!! The industry wants you!! don worry! tough outside, but u'll find ur place :)

6) My stress level is cyclical. Now is the trough, so i'm normal, for now.

7) I wan to slack. i miss stoning and slacking away my time

so fast, its march alreadi... so busy nowadays... veri draining... one week have past... i m onli halfway up this steep mountain... jiayou. i can do it...
