Met up with buddies to finalise our HK trip... now that everything is more or less settled, i m getting excited.. haha i noe i noe.. compared to kat n hx, i m w-o-l-s liao... since the day, we confirm our tickets, 2 of them veri excited bout the limitless shopping liao... LOL.. we will shop the house down!!! yeah!
then met sis at nite to watch the opening of Singapore Arts Festival at Boat Quay. A free entry show (Water Fools) on Singapore River by a group name Ilotopie from France... the performers did their acts on water... the 50mins show was wrapped up with a spectacular fireworks display... as with other outdoor shows, the crowd was the negative side... got a place beneath a tree, hence the fireworks was a bit blocked... photos i took were not clear.. onli halfway through the show, i realised its better off filming videos.. clearer.. interesting show i tink... how often u see people 'walking' on water and cars instead of boats on water???
Planning to catch more performances during this period... Always nice being expose to new perspectives.. :)
From the S'pore Arts Festival official website:
Can one walk on the sea? Drive on the river? Acclaimed French street theatre company IIotopie brings Water Fools to Boat Quay. In a mystical and magical journal, a man travels to Singapore’s popular waterfront, arriving in a sputtering little car. His car breaks down, so he gets out and reads a paper. Meanwhile a passing cyclist sprays water into his face.. and then his head suddenly bursts into flames.
Phantasmagoric and whimsical water creatures loom from the river, as fireworks unfold in an aquatic extravaganza. Giant mechanical sets that turn everyday objects into fantastic machines look set to wow audiences, as they take the man beyond the wildest dreams of his humble car ride into a dazzling opening show at the Singapore Arts Festival.
